The principal offenders, as told to me by Yazeed ben Roomaan\ ٠ ض ٠ ذ ث س ب from Urwah ben Al Zubayr\ ث ا ضث ١ ش,ػش ح were five men who were respected and honored among their tribesmen. These five men insisted and preserved in their mockery and hurting of the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, and Allaah Most هللا رؼبHigh brought.ع سح ا ذجش Hejre\ down Aayah ninety and ninety five of Sooratu Al These five men were: (One) Al Aswadu ben Al Muttaleb ben Asad Aboo Zam ah\ ث ا ط ت ث أعذ أث ص ؼخ,األع د of the ث أعذ ث ػجذ ا ؼض ث of Banee Asad ben Abdu Al Uzzaa ben Qusayy ben Kelaab لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ لق ث والة. \ Concerning him, as it was reported to me, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam cursed him because of mockery and annoyed him, and said: This Hadeeth means: O Allaah هللا! Blind him and bereave him of his sons! "أ أػ ثقش أوض ذ." ججشJebreel ٠ came to the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa.ا ىؼجخ Ka bah\ Sallam and stood at his side while these five men were circumambulating the Al Aswadu ben Al Muttaleb األع د ث ا ط ت passed by them and ججشJebreel ٠ threw a green leaf at his face and he became blind.

2 األع د ث ػجذ (Two) Al Aswadu ben Abde Yaghooth ben Wahb ben Abde Manaaf ben Zuhrah ث ص شح ث of Banee Zuhrah ben Kelaab لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ of the, ٠ غ س ث ت ث ػجذ بف ث ص شح \.والة \ When he passed by them, ججشJebreel ٠ pointed his finger at his belly which swelled so that he died of dropsy. Al Sayyootee \ ا غ ١ ه reported in his book Al Duraru Al Manthoore\ ا ض س ا ذسس another narration and said: ججش ٠ came down, Jebreel ع سح ا ذجش \ Hejre After the Aayah ninety five of Sooratu Al Alayhessalaamu also came down and bent the spinal cord of Al األع دAswadu forward and broke it. At that, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: The Hadeeth means: My maternal Uncle! My maternal uncle! ججشJebreel ٠ said to him: Leave him alone. ججشJebreel ٠ bent his spine forward until he died. End quote..ا ذاسلط Daaraaqutneyyu\ This Hadeeth was reported by Al "خب خب." ا ١ ذ ث (Three) Al Waleedu ben Al Mugheerah ben Abdu Allaahe ben Umar ben Makhzoom of Banee Makhzoom ben Yaqthah ben لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ of the,ا غ ١ شح ث ػجذ هللا ث ػ ش ث خض \.ث خض ث ٠ مظخ ث Murrah\ شح Next Al ا ١ ذWaleedu passed by. ججشJebreel ٠ pointed at an old scar on the bottom of his ankle, the result of a wound he received some years earlier as he was trailing his gown when he passed by a man of خضاػخKhuzaa ah who was feathering an arrow, and the arrowhead caught in his wrapper and scratched his foot, a mere nothing. When ججشJebreel ٠ pointed his finger at this scar, the wound opened again and he died of it. (Four) Al Aasu bin Waa'il bin Hishaam\ ث ائ ث ؾب,ا ؼبؿ una dhashay Qurayshta\ لش ٠ ؼ reer ".ث ع ث ػ ش ث ق ١ ث \ Kacb Banii Sahm bin Camr bin Husays bin وؼت Then Al Aaasu be Waa-el/ ا ؼبؿ ث ائ passed and ججشJebreel ٠ pointed his finger to the arch of his foot. Al ا ؼبؿAasu, after this event went to the city of Al ا طبئفTaa-ef (about one hundred kilomters south of Makkah\ ( ىخ on his donkey. He tied his animal to a thorny tree and a thorn enetered his foot and he died of it.

3 (Five) Al Haarethu ebnu Al Tulaatelah ben Amr ben Al Haareth ben Abde Amr ben Lu-ayy ben Melkaan \ ا ذبسس اث ا ط ١ ط خ ث ػ ش ث ا ذبسس ث ػجذ ػ ش ث ئ ث ىب of the tribe of.خضاػخkhuzaa ah Then Al ا ذبسسHaarethu passed by them and ججشJebreel ٠ pointed his finger at his head, and immediately his head filled with pus and killed him. \, brought down concerning these five men, the Aayah ninety five of :ع سح ا ذجش Hejre\ Sooratu Al هللا رؼب Allaah Most High The Aayah means: For suffiecient are We unto you against those who scoff(95). (Quraan 15:95). {إ ن ا ك ف ي ن اك ال م س ت ه ز ئ ين )95(} ا ١ ذ \ Waleedu and Al أث أص ٠ ش \ Uzayher The story of Aboo Ebnu Eshaaq \ اث اعذبق said: ؾب death was near, he summoned his three sons Heshaam Al Waleed ا ١ ذWaleedu s When Al, and خب ذ ث ا ١ ذ \ Waleed, and Khaaled ben Al ا ١ ذ ث ا ١ ذWaleed Al Waleedu ben Al,ث ا ١ ذ \ said: My sons, I charge you with three duties; be not remiss in any of them. My blood lies on the (tribe of) Khuzaa ah \ خضاػخ : do not let it remain uncompensated. By هللاAllaah I know that they are innocent of it, but I fear that you may be ill spoken of because of it when I am dead. Thaqeef interest /سثب Rebaa\ ) owe me money in ا طبئف \ Taa-ef (The tribe who resides in the city of Al صم ١ ف \ أث أص ٠ ش on a loan; see that you get it. Lastly my dowry money is with Aboo Uzayher Al Dawsee it. Don t let him keep.ا ذ ع \ Now Aboo Uzayher \ أث أص ٠ ش ا ذ ع had married him to a daughter of his and then withheld her from him and did not let him have access to her up to the day of his death. Al Suhaylee\ ا غ ١ said: Al Uqru\ ا ؼمش is the compensation of the virgin when she is defiled and her virginity is gone, and is comparable to the dowry of today. End quote.,خضاػخ attacked Khuzaa ah ث خض \ Makhzoom died, the tribe of Banee ا ١ ذWaleedu When Al demanding blood-money for Al ا ١ ذWaleed, saying: It was your man s arrow that killed him. This man of Khuzaa ah \ خضاػخ was of the subclan of Banee Ka b \ ث وؼت, which had a coalition agreement with the family of Prophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa.ث ػجذ ا طبة ث بؽHaashem Sallam of Banee Abdu Al Muttaleb ben

4 خضاػخKhuzaa ah refused their demand and a competition in verse followed and the situation became tense. The owner of the arrow that wounded and then killed Al Waleed \ ا ١ ذ was a man of the Banee Ka b ben.amr \ ث وؼت ث ػ ش of the tribe of Khuzaa ah \ خضاػخ, that lived in the area of Marr Al Thahraan ا ظ شا, ش which is a valley of the valleys of Al Hejaaz \ ا ذجبص called today Waadee Faatemah اد فبه خ -. This valley pue its water in the Red Sea in a spot twenty kilometers south of the city of Jeddah\ جذح and passes twenty two kilometers north of Makkah al Mukarramah \ ىخ ا ىش خ, where the grave of our Mother Maymoona Alayhassalaamu, the wife of Prophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam is located -. The people understood that the Banee Makhzoom \ ث خض was afraid to be ashamed, and therefore Khuzaa ah\ خضاػخ gave them some of the blood money of Al Waleedu\,ا ١ ذ and they desisted from the rest. The situation was resolved this way with the approval of both sides. Then Al Jawn ben Aboo Al ا ج ث أث ا جJawn of the tribe of Banee Ka b Amr Al Khuzaa ee \ ث وؼت ث ػ ش ا خضاػ went on to boast of the killing of Al Waleed \ ا ١ ذ saying that they had brought about his end, all of which was false. ث ػجذ بف Manaaf\ and the revolt of Banee Abdu أث أص ٠ ش \ Uzayher The killing of Aboo Ebnu Eshaaq \ اث اعذبق said: Then Heshaam ben Al Waleed \ ؾب ث ا ١ ذ attacked Aboo Uzayher \ أث أص ٠ ش and killed him while he was in the market of Thoo Al Majaaz \ ر ا جبص (The most renown Arab yearly markets were these three: (One) ػىبظKaath which was the most important market that was operating in the first twenty days of the month of Thoo Al Qa dah \ ر ا مؼذح ; then the market would move to Thoo Al Majannah \ ر ا ج خ that was opened in the last ten days of this same month of Thoo Qa dah \ ر ا مؼذح. Then it would move to the market of Thoo Majaaz \ ر ا جبص that stayed open during the first eigh days of the month of Thoo Al Hajjah \ ر ا ذجخ ). End quote. Thoo Al ر ا جبصMajaaz is located in the valley that comes down from the western side of the وجىتKabkab mountain and joins and pours its water in the valley of Uranah\ اد ػش خ situated on the eastern corner of Al.ا غ ظMughammas This valley is eight kilometers distant from the border of the Haram\ ا ذش of Makkah\ ىخ to the east. Three kilometers inside this valley was located the market of Thoo Al ر ا جبصMajaaz and it is to the east of ػشفخArafah. This market was located between ػشفخArafah and (the town of),دhunayn ١ the latter called today Al.ا ؾشائغ Sharaa-e This market belonged to the tribe of l زHuthay ٠ and it was located on its territory. Al ا غ ظMughammas is inhabited by,لش ٠ ؼQuraysh as reported by Aateq Ghayth Al Balaadee.ػبرك ث غ ١ ش ا جالد \ أث عف ١ ب ث دشة \ Harb was wife to Aboo Sufyaan ben أث أص ٠ شUzayher The daughter of Aboo

5 أث was a wife of Aboo Sufyaan ben Harb أث أص ٠ شUzayher a daughter of Aboo,ػبرىخ Aatekah\ عف ١ ب ث دشة \ Aboo أث أص ٠ شUzayher was a chief among his people and ؾبHeshaam killed him for the dowry money belonging to Al ا ١ ذWaleed which he had retained, in accordance with his father s dying injunction. This happened after the Messenger of Allaah s Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaaa Aalehe Wa Sallam migration to Al Madeenah\,ا ذ ٠ خ Badr\ غض ح ثذس was over and many of the leaders of heathen Quraysh\ لش ٠ ؼ had been slain. Yazeed ben Abee Sufyaan\ ٠ ض ٠ ذ ث أث عف ١ ب went out and collected the Banoo Abdu,ر ا جبص Majaaz\ was in the market of Thoo Al أث عف ١ ب Sufyaan\ while Aboo ث ػجذ بف Manaaf\ and people said Aboo Sufyaan s\ أث عف ١ ب honor in the matter of his father in-law had been violated and he will take vengeance for him. When Aboo أث عف ١ بSufyaan heard of what his son ٠ ض ٠ ذYazeed had done, he came down to Makkah\ ىخ as fast as he could. He was a mild but astute man who loved his people exceedingly, and he was afraid that there might be serious trouble among لش ٠ ؼQuraysh because of Aboo. أث أص ٠ شUzayher So he went straight to his son, who was armed among his people of the Banoo Abdu Manaaf took his spear out of his hand and hit him hard on, ا ط ١ ج ١ Ones\ and the Scented ث ػجذ بف \ the head with it, saying: Allaah\ هللا damn you! Do you wish to cause civil war among لش ٠ ؼQuraysh for the sake of a man from Daws\?د ط (Aboo أث أص ٠ شUzayher was killed by Heshaam ben Al ؾب ث ا ١ ذWaleed of the Qurayshe\ لش ٠ ؼ tribe of Banoo Makhzoom\,ث خض and his daughter was married to Aboo أث عف ١ بSufyaan of the لش ٠ ؼQurayshe tribe of Banee أ ١ خUmayyah which /ث is part of the Banoo Abdu Manaaf \ ث ػجذ بف ) We will pay them the bloodmoney if they will accept it. Thus he put an end to the matter.

6 ع سح ا جمشح \ Baqarah of Sooratu Al آ ٠ خ ا شثب Rebaa\ The coming down of the Aayah on the Ebnu اث اعذبق Eshaaq said: خب ذ ث ا ١ ذ \ Waleed became Muslem, Khaaled ben Al ا طبئف Taa-ef\ When the people of Al spoke to the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam about his father loan s interest which صم ١ فThaqeef owed him. A scholar told me that thoes Aayahs which prohibit what remained of the Rebaa\ usury /سثب from the Jaaheleyah\ ا جب ١ خ pre-islamic period came down out of خب ذKhaaled s demanding the interest owed to his father. These are the Aayahs two hundred seventy eight to two hundred :ع سح ا جمشح Baqarah\ eighty one of Sooratu Al {ي ا أ ي ه ا ال ذ ين آ م ن وا ات ق وا الم ه و ذ ر وا م ا ب ق ي م ن الر ب ا إ ن ك ن ت م م ؤ م ن ين )878( ف إ ن ل م ت ف ع م وا ف أ ذ ن وا ب ح ر ب م ن الم ه و ر س ول ه و ا ن ت ب ت م ف م ك م ر ء وس أ م و ال ك م ل ت ظ م م ون و ل ت ظ م م ون )879( و ا ن ك ان ذ و ع س ر ة ف ن ظ ر ة إ ل ى م ي س ر ة م ا ت ر ج ع ون ف يه إ ل ى الم ه ث م ت و ف ى ك ل ن ف س م ا ك س ب ت و أ ن ت ص د ق وا خ ي ر ل ك م إ ن ك ن ت م ت ع م م ون )882 ) و ات ق وا ي و و ه م ل ي ظ م م ون )882(} These Aayahs mean: O you who believe! Fear Allaah \ هللا, and give up what remains of your demand for usury, if you are indeed believers(278)if you do it not, take notice of war from Allaah \ هللا and His Messenger: but if you turn back, you shall have your capital sums; deal not unjustly, and you shall not be dealt with unjustly(279)if the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time till it is easy for him to repay. But if you remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if you only knew(280)and fear the Day when you shall be brought back to Allaah\ هللا then shall every soul be paid what it earned, and none shall be dealt with unjustly(281). (Quraan 278-281). Al Emaam Al Baghawee \ ا جغ in his tafseer of this Aayah said: A man was looking for another that owed him some money, and the latter concealed him from his creditor. When he finally got hold of him he said to him: What compelled you to hide from me? He replied: Poverty. He asked him to swear that he is a poor man, and he sweared. The creditor brought the document of this loan and gave it back to him, and said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam saying: The Hadeeth means: " أ ظش ؼغشا مغ ػ أ جب هللا وشة ٠ ا م ١ ب خ." Whoever gives respite and remits the loan he had on a poor man, Allaah\ هللا will save him from. غMuslem the worries of Fire on the Day of Resurrection. The Hadeeth is reported by

7 Abdu Allaahe ben Mas ood \ ػجذ هللا ث غؼ د reported that the the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: "ا ا الئىخ زؼ مذ ثش ح سج وب لج ى فمب ا : " ػ ذ خ ١ شا لو " لبي: "ال." لب ا: "رزوش." لبي: "ال اال ا و ذ سجال أدا ٠ ا بط فى ذ آ ش فز ١ ب أ ٠ ظش ا ا ؼغش ٠ زجب ص ا ػ ا ؼغش." لبي هللا رجبسن رؼب : "رجب ص ا ػ." The Hadeeth means: The angels took hold of the sould of a man of those who lived before you and said to him: Did you ever do a good deed? He replied: No. They said: Try to remember! He said: No, but I was a man who used to lend money to people, and used to order my servants who worked for me to grant respite to the poor debtor and to remit totally the debt of the poor. Then Allaah Most High\ هللا رؼب said: Let the man also go. This Hadeeth was reported by Meslem \ غ (His Hadeeth number one thousand five hundred sixty one (#1561) recorded in his Ketaabu Al Manaaqeb \ وزبة ا بلت, in his chapter six titled.(ا ظبس ا ؼغش Mu sere\ Enthaaru Al Saheehu Muslem \ فذ ١ خ غ also reported that the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: The Hadeeth means: " أ ظش ؼغشا أ مغ ػ أظ هللا ف ظ." Whoever grants respite to a poor debtor, or forgives all the debts, Allaah\ هللا will give him shade under His Throne on the Day of Resurrection. Ebnu Abbaas\ اث ػجبط said: This is the last Aayah of the Quraan that came down on the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, and Jebreel \ ججش ٠ said:. ع سح ا جمشح \ Baqarah Place it after two hundred eighty Aayahs of Sooratu Al After this Aayah, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam lived for twenty one days. 8 أث أص ٠ ش \ Uzayher The attempt vengeance for Aboo Ebnu Eshaaq \ اث اعذبق said: So far as I know, there was no vengeance for Aboo أث أص ٠ شUzayher, until Islaam made a clear cut between men. However, Deraar ben Al Khattaab ben Merdaas Al Fehree \ مشاس ث ا خطبة ث شداط ا ف ش went out with a number of لش ٠ ؼQuraysh to the Daws\ د ط country (In Al Yaman\,(ا ١ and came to the dwelling of a woman called Ummu غ ١ الGhaylaan,أ a freedwoman of.د طDaws She used to comb the women s hair and prepare brides for their husband. أ غ ١ الGhaylaan, but Ummu أث أص ٠ شUzayher wanted to kill them in revenge for Aboo د طDaws and the women stood in their way and defended them. أ غ ١ الGhaylaan The deed of Ummu Ebnu اث ؾبHeshaam said: Aboo Ubaydah\ أث ػج ١ ذح told me that the woman who stood up in defence of مشاسDeraar was Ummu جJameel ١ ;أ and since others say it was Ummu غ ١ الGhaylaan,أ it may well be that both played their part with the other women who were there. When Umar ben Al ػ ش ث ا خطبة/ Khattaab came to power, Ummu أ جJameel ١ came to him, for she thought that he was his brother, and when her genealogy had been given, he knew her story and said to her: "ا غذ ثؤخ ١ اال ف اسإعال غبص لذ ػشفذ زه ػ ١." The Haseeth means: I am not his brother except in Islaam. He si now away for Jehaad\.ج بد I know how much he owes you. So he made her a gift as though she were a traveller. The narrator said: Ebnu Heshaam\ اث ؾب said: Deraar\ مشاس had met ػ شUmar at the Battle of Uhud\ غض ح أدذ when he began to beat him with the flat of his sword saying: Be off with you, Ebna Al Khattaab\ ا خطبة,اث I will not kill you. ػ شUmar remembered this in his favour after he had become a Muslem.

9 His neighbors who ill treated the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe W Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam Ebnu Eshaaq \ اث اعذبق said: Those of his neighbors who ill treated the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam in his house were Aboo Lahb \ أث ت, and Al Hakamu ben Al Aas ben Umayyah \ ا ذى ث ا ؼبؿ ث أ ١ خ, and Uqbah ben Abee Mu ayt \ ػمجخ ث أث ؼ ١ و, and Adeyye اث أالفذاء, and ebnu Al Asdaa-a Al Huthaleyye ػذ ث د شاء ا ضمف \ Thaqafii ben Hamraa-a Al.ا ز \ These men were the neighbors of the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa ا ذى Aalehe Wa Sallam, and none of them became Muslem except Al Hakamu ben Abee Al Aas.ث أث ا ؼبؿ I have been told that one of them used to throw a sheep s uterus at him while he was praying; and one of them used to throw it into his cooking-pot when it hass ben placed ready for him. Thus the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam was forced to retire to a wall when he prayed. Umar ben Abdu Allaahe ben Urwah ben Al Zubayr \ ػ ش ث ػجذ هللا ث ػش ح ث ا ضث ١ ش told me on the authority of his father that when they threw this objectionable thing at him, the Messenger Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam took it out on a stick, and standing at the door of his house, he would sayd: The Hadeeth means: " ٠ ب ث ػجذ بف! أ جبس زا " O Banoo Abdu ػجذ بفManaaf! What kind of being neighbors is this? End quote. أ ا ئ ١ خذ ٠ جخ Khadeejah The death of the Mother of the Believers Fathu Al Baaree be Sharhe Saheehe Al Bukhaaree\ فزخ ا جبس ثؾشح فذ ١ خ ا جخبس by Ebnu Hajr Al Asqalaanee\ اث دجشا ؼغمال reported that the Mother of the Believers Khadeejah bentu Khuwayled أ ا ئ ١ خذ ٠ جخ ث ذ خ ٠ ذ Alayhassalaamu died three years before the Hejrah of Prophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam to Al ا جشح \ Madeenah Al Munawwarah\ ا سح.ا ذ ٠ خ End quote. This date corresponds to the year six hundred and twenty (620) of the Gregorian Calender.

10 Ebnu Asaaker\ اث ػغبوش narrated by a weak chain from ebnu اث ػجبطAbbaas that the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam came to خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah while she was dying and said to her: " ٠ ب خذ ٠ جخ ارا م ١ ذ مشائشن فبلش ١ ا غال." فمب ذ: " ٠ ب سع ي هللا )ف هللا ػ ١ ع ( رض جذ لج " لبي: "ال ى هللا ص ج ش ٠ ث ذ ػ شا آع ١ خ ا شاح فشػ و ض أخذ ع." The Hadeeth means:/ O ٠ ب خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah! If you meet with my other wives, deliver to them my salaam. She said: O Messenger of Allaah\!هللا Did you marry other women before me? Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: No, but هللاAllaah married me to Maryama bentu ش ٠ ث ذ ػ شاEmraana (the mother of Prophet ػ ١ غEesaa Alayhessalaamu) and آع ١ خAaseyah the wife of the Farao (Who never touched her: she was a Muslem woman hiding her Islaam and asked هللاAllaah to protect her from him and هللاAllaah did so and he never came close to her), and و ضKulthoom, the sister of. ع Moosaa This same Hadeeth was also narrated by Al Zubayru ebnu Al Bakkaar\ ا ضث ١ ش اث ا جىبس who reported that Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam came to خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah while she was dying and said to her: "رىش ١ ب أس ه ٠ ب خذ ٠ جخ لذ ٠ جؼ هللا ف ا ىش خ ١ شا. أؽؼشد أ هللا أػ أ ع ١ ض ج ؼه ف ا ج خ ش ٠ آع ١ خ و ض." فمب ذ: "هللا أػ ه ث زا ٠ ب سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع " لبي: " ؼ." فمب ذ: "ثب شفبء ا ج ١." The Hadeeth means: From what I see, O خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah, you dislike it, and Allaah\ هللا may place good in what is disliked! I felt that هللاAllaah let me know that He will marry me together with you in the.و ضKulthoom and آع ١ خAsseyah and ش ٠ Paradise /ا ج خ Maryama Jannah\ She said: Did هللاAllaah said that to you O Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayheka Wa Sallam? He said: Yes. She said: Then I wish you harmony between you and your wives! Congratulations and I wish you many sons.

11 خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah to ا ج خ Jannah\ The Grapes of the Ebnu Asaaker\ اث ػغبوش and Al Tabraanee \ ا طجشا reported from ػبئؾخAaeshah a Hadeeth that included an unknown man in the chain of trasmitters that the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam gave to خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah to eat grapes of the Jannah\ ا ج خ and she eat it. The Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam gave to خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah the grapes of the ا ج خJannah after he informed her that she is his wife in Paradise and that she is one his many wives therein. This was a favour هللاAllaah Who wanted to honor his Messenger Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam and خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah as well. At her death خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah was sixty five years old, and twenty five five of these she was with him Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam as his wife, as reported by Fathu. فزخ ا جبس \ Baaree Al Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam married her when he was twenty five years old and she was forty years old, and was his wife for twenty five years. While married to خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah for these twenty five years, Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, he was married to her alone, and never married another woman together with her as the men of Makkah\ ىخ did, which is a privilege that no one other of his wives shares with her. Al Qastalaanee \ ا مغطال said Three daysa after the death of his uncle Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah died in the month of Ramadaan\,س نب ten years after the Be thah\ The /ا جؼضخ ا جبس. فزخ \ Baaree Mission, as reported by Fathu Al The Mother of the Believers Khadeejah benty Khuwayled \ أ ا ئ ١ خذ ٠ جخ ث ذ خ ٠ ذ was buried in the graveyard of Al,ا ذجHujoon called today Al Ma allaah\,ا ؼالح about seven hundred meters from the Ka bah\,ا ىؼجخ and it was her husband Prophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam who went down into her grave as Al Waaqedee خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah the nephew of,دى ١ ث دضاHezaam reported from Hakeem ben ا الذ \ Alayhassalaamu. No funeral prayer had come down yet at that time. أ to have mercy on our Mother Khadeejah bentu Khuwayled هللاAllaah We, all Muslems, ask.ا ئ ١ خذ ٠ جخ ث ذ خ ٠ ذ \ Al ا ذجHajoon in the name of the mountain under which this graveyard is located until today.

12 and Al Sayyed Aboo ا غ ١ ذح خذ ٠ جخ The polytheist, after the death of Al Sayyedah Khadeejah Taaleb\ ا غ ١ ذ أث هب ت hoped to get the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam Ebnu Eshaaq\ اث اعذبق said: خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah s died in the same year, and with أث هب تTaaleb and Aboo خذ ٠ جخKhadeejah death troubles followed fast on each other s heels, for she had been a faithful fupport to him Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam in Islaam, and he use to tell her of his troubles. With the death of Aboo,أث هب تTaaleb he lost a strength and stay in his personal life and a.لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ defence and protection against his people of Aboo أث هب تTaaleb died some three years before Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam migrated to Al Madeenah\,ا ذ ٠ خ and it was then that Quraysh \ لش ٠ ؼ began to treat him in an offensive way which they would not dared to follow in his uncle s lifetime. A young fool threw dust on his head. ػش ح ث of the authority of his father Urwah ben Al Zubayr ؾب ث ػش ح Urwah\ Heshaam ben me: told ا ضث ١ ش \ When this fool threw dust on his head, the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam went into his house with the dust stil on his head, and one of his daughters got up and washed it away, weeping as she did so. The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said to her: The Hadeeth means: Don t weep, my little girl, for Allaah\ هللا will protect your father. Meanwhile, Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam was saying: The Hadeeth means: "ال رجى ٠ ب ث ١ خ فب هللا ب غ أثبن!" " ب ب ذ لش ٠ ؼ ؽ ١ ئب أوش دز بد أث هب ت." Quraysh لش ٠ ؼ never treated me in a manner that I dislike most than this since Aboo أث هب تTaaleb died.

13 لش ٠ ؼQuraysh and the أث هب تTaaleb Aboo Ebnu Eshaaq said: When Aboo أث هب تTaaleb fell ill and لش ٠ ؼQuraysh learned of his grave condition, they reminded one another: Now that Hamzah\ د ضح and Umar\ ػ ش had accepted Islaam and Muhammad s\ ذ ذ - Sallaa لش ٠ ؼQuraysh Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam - religion spread among all the clans, we had better go to Aboo أث هب تTaaleb and come to some compromise so that he should take something from the son of his brother and give it to us, and take something from us and give it to him, because by Allaah\ هللا otherwise we might be robbed of our authority altogether. ا ؼجبط ث ػجذ هللا ث ؼجذ ث ا ؼجبط \ Al Abbaas ben Abdu Allaahe ben Ma bad ben Abbaas,ؽ ١ جخ Shaybah\ and ػزجخ Utbah\ told me that اث ػجبط Abbaas\ from one of his family from Ebnu sons of Rabee ah\,سث ١ ؼخ and Aboo Jahl\,أث ج and Umayyah ben Khalaf\ أ ١ خ ث خ ف and Aboo Sufyaan\ أث عف ١ ب with sundry other notables went to Aboo أث هب تTaaleb and said: You know your rank with us and now that you are at the point of death, we are deeply concerned on your account. You know the trouble that exists between us and your nephew, so call him and let us make an agreement that he will leave us alone and we will leave him alone; let him have his religion and we will have ours. Aboo أث هب تTaaleb sent for the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam and when came said to him: " ٠ بث أخ ئالء أؽشاف ل ه لذ اجز ؼ ا ه ١ ؼط ن ١ ؤخز ا ه." فمبي ف هللا ػ ١ ػ آ ع : "و خ ادذح رؼط ١ ب ر ى ث ب ا ؼشة رذ ٠ ى ث ب ا ؼج." لبي:: فمبي أث ج : " ؼ أث ١ ه ػؾش و بد." لبي ف هللا ػ ١ ع : "رم : ال ا اال هللا رخ ؼ ب رؼجذ د." لبي "فقفم ا ثؤ ٠ ذ ٠ ص لب ا: "أرش ٠ ذ أ رجؼ ا ٢ خ اال ب ادذا ا أ شن ؼجت." )لبي(: ص لبي ثؼن جؼل: "أ هللا ب زا ا شج ث ؼط ١ ى ؽ ١ ئب ب رش ٠ ذ فب ط م ا ا ن ا ػ د ٠ آثبئى دز ٠ ذى هللا لبي: "ص رفشل ي." ث ١ ب ث ١."

14 فمبي أث هب ت شع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع : " هللا ٠ بث أخ ب سأ ٠ زه عؤ ز ؽططب." لبي: "ف ب لب ب أث هب ت ه غ سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع ف اعال فجؼ ٠ م ي : "أ ػ فؤ ذ فم ب أعزذ ه ث ب ا ؾفبػخ ٠ ا م ١ ب خ." ف ب سأ دش ؿ سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع ػ ١ لبي: " ٠ بث أخ هللا ال خبفخ ا غجخ ػ ١ ه ػ ث أث ١ ه ثؼذ أ رظ لش ٠ ؼ أ ا ب ل ز ب جضػب ا د م ز ب.ال أل ب ألعشن ث ب." لبي: "ف ب رمبسة أث هب ت ا د لبي: ظش ا ؼجبط ا ١ ٠ ذشن ؽفز ١ لبي: فؤفغ ا ١ ثؤر لبي: فمبي: " ٠ بث أخ هللا مذ لبي أخ ا ى خ ا ز أ شر أ ٠ م ب!" لبي: فمبي سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ػ آ ع : " أع غ." The Hadeeth means: O nephew! These notables have come to you that they may give you something and to take something from you. Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa ALaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: Yes, you may give me one word by which you can rule the Arabs and subject the non Arabs to you. Aboo Jahl\ أث ج said: Yes, and (we will give you ten) ten words (to achieve that). Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: You must say: There is no god but Allaah\ هللا and you must repudiate what you worship beside him. They clapped their hands and said: Do you want to make all the gods into one god? This affair of yours is extraordinary. Then they said one to another: By Allaah \ هللا! This man is not going to give you anything you want, so go and continue with the religion of your fathers until Allaah \ هللا judges between us and him.

15 Aboo Taaleb\ أث هب ت said: O Nephew! I don t think that you asked them anything extraordinary. On hearing this the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam had hopes that he would accept Islaam, and he said at once: You say it, uncle, and then I shall be able to intercede for you on the Day of Resurrection. When he saw the eagerness of the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam he replied: Were it not that I fear that you and your fathers s sons would be abused after my death and that Quraysh\ لش ٠ ؼ would think that I had only said it in fear of death, I would say it. I should only say it to give you pleasure. As his death was near, Al Abbaas\ ا ؼجبط looked at him as he was moving his lips and put his ear close to him and said: O nephews! By هللاAllaah, my brother has spoken the word you gave him to say. The the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam he replied: I did not hear it.. The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aaleh Wa Sallam said I did not hear it and did not say: He did not say it! End quote. Al ا ؼجبطAbbaas became Muslem at the start of Islam Why would Al ا ؼجبطAbbaas a noble man lie about his dying brother to his nephew the ا ؼجبطAbbaasu Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam? Al was a Muslem at this time, hiding his Islaam from his people. He became a Muslem at the beginning of Islaam, together with his wife Ummu Al Fadl\ ا فن,أ the mother of Abdu Allaahe ben Al Abbaas\ ػجذ هللا اث ا ؼجبط Alayhessalaamu. Ebnu Eshaaq \ اث اعذبق said: غض ح ثذسBadr and the Battle of ا ؼجبطAbbaasu Al On the Day of Badr\ ثذس ٠, the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallan said: "ا لذ ػشفذ أ سجبال ث بؽ غ ١ ش لذ أخشج ا وش ب الدبجخ ثمزب ب. ف م ى أدذا ث بؽ فال ٠ مز. م أثب ا جخزش ث ؾب ث ا ذبسس ث أعذ فال ٠ مز. م ا ؼجبط ث ػجذ ا ط ت ػ سع ي هللا فال ٠ مز فب ا ب أخشط غزىش ب." The Hadeeth means: I know with certainty that men of Banee ث بؽHaashem and others as well were forced to get out (of Makkah\ ىخ with the pagans of Quraysh\,(لش ٠ ؼ and they have no intenion to fight against us. Therefore whoever of you who encounters one of Banee ث بؽHaashem, he should not kill him; and whoever of youn who encounters Abaa Al Bakhtareyye ben Heshaam

16 ben Al Haareth ben أثب ا جخزش ث ؾب ث ا ذبسس ث أعذAsad should not kill him; and whoever of you encounters Al Abbaas ben Abdu Al ا ؼجبط ث ػجذ ا ط تMuttaleb, the paternal uncle of the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam should not kill him because he was forced to come out (of Makkah). The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said to his uncle :غض ح ثذس Badr\, when he was taken as a Prisoners of War at the Battle of ا ؼجبطAbbaas Al " ٠ ب ػجبط أفذ فغه اث ب أخ ٠ ه ػم ١ ث أث هب ت ف ث ا ذبسس د ١ فه ػزجخ ث ػ ش." The Hadeeth means:! Pay the ronsome money from yourself, the two sons of your brothers ٠ ب ػجبط and your ف ث ا ذبسسHaareth, and Nawfal ben Al ػم ١ ث أث هب ت O Abbaas Aqeel ben Abee Taaleb. ػزجخ ث ػ شAmr ally Utbah ben Al ا ؼجبطAbbaas replied: "أ و ذ غ ب ى ا م اعزىش." The Hadeeth means: I was a Muslem, but the people (of Makkah\ ( ىخ forced me to come with them. The Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam said: The Hadeeth means: "هللا أػ ث ب رم ي. ا ٠ ى ب رم ي دمب فب هللا ٠ جض ٠ ه. ى ظب ش أ شن أ ه و ذ ػ ١ ب." هللا \ knows best of what you say. If what you say is true, Allaah هللا Allaah it. But your affair as can be seen is that you were against us. \ will reward you for Then Allaah Most High\ هللا رؼب supported the position of Al ا ؼجبطAbbaas by sending down : ع سح األ فبي \ Anfaale the Aayah number seventy of Sooratu Al {ي ا أ ي ه ا الن ب ي ق ل ل م ن ف ي أ ي د يك م م ن ا ل س ر ى إ ن ي ع م م الم ه ف ي ق م وب ك م خ ي ر ا ي ؤ ت ك م ل ك م و الم ه غ ف ور ر ح يم )72(} خ ي ر ا م م ا أ خ ذ م ن ك م و ي غ ف ر The Aayah means: O Prophet! Say to those who are captive in your hands: If Allaah \ هللا findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you, for Allaah \ هللا is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful(70). (Quraan 8:70).

17 Al Tabraanee \ ا طجشا reported in his book Al Awsat \ األ عو that Al ا ؼجبطAbbaasu said: "ف هللا ض ذ د ١ أخجشد سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع ثبعال عؤ ز أ ٠ ذبعج ثب ؼؾش ٠ أ ل ١ خ ا ز جذد ؼ فؤػطب هللا ث ب ػؾش ٠ ػجذا و ربجش ث ب ف ٠ ذ غ ب أسج غفشح هللا." The Hadeeth means: By! هللاAllaah This Aayah came down about me when I said to the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam that I was a Muslem, and asked him to accept as ransome money the twent Awqeyah\ Ounces / أ ل ١ خ (of gold) that was found on me. In exchange of these twenty,أ ل ١ خAwqeyah هللاAllaah gave me twenty slaves (in another narration one hundred slaves) each one of them trading on my behalf with my money; and I hope in the forgiveness of.هللاallaah End quote. أث تLahab The death of Aboo لبي اث اعذبق: " دذص دغ ١ ث ػجذ هللا ث ػج ١ ذ هللا ث ػجبط ػ ػىش خ اث ػجبط لبي: "لبي أث سافغ سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع : "و ذ غال ب ي ؼجبط ث ػجذ ا ط ت وب اسإعال لذ دخ ب أ ا ج ١ ذ فؤع ا ؼجبط أع ذ أ ا فن أع ذ وب ا ؼجبط ٠ بة ل ٠ ىش خالف وب ٠ ىز اعال وب را بي وض ١ ش زفشق ف ل..." ا ذذ ٠ ش Ibnu Ishaq reported: دغ ١ ث ػجذ هللا ث ػج ١ ذ هللا ث Husayn ben Abdu Allaahe ben Ubaydu Allaahe ben Abbaas Raafe,, told me that Aboo ػىش خ اث ػجبطAbbaas from Ekremah, freedman of Ibnu ػجبط أث freedman of the Messenger of Allaah, Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Alehe Wa Sallam said:,سافغ سع ي هللا ف هللا ػ ١ ع I used to be a slave of ا ؼجبطAbbaas. Islam has entered among us, the people of the house; ا ؼجبطAbbaas had become a Muslim, and so had Ummu Al أ ا فنFadl she was the second woman to become a Muslem after Khadeejah\ خذ ٠ جخ Alayhassalaamu -, and so had I. But ا ؼجبطAbbaas was afraid of his people and disliked to go against them, so he hid his faith; he had a great deal of money, scattered among the people. Aboo Lahab\ أث ت had stayed behind from the Badar Expedition\ غض ح ثذس sending in his stead Al Aas ben Heshaam\ ث ؾب ;ا ؼبؿ for that is what they did any man who stayed behind sent هللاAllaah ثذس Badar\ disaster at لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ another in his place. And when news came of the humiliated Aboo أث تLahab and put him to shame while we found ourselves in a position of power and respect.

18,ص ض Zamzam\ Now I was a weak man and I used to make arrows, sharpening them in the tent of and lo as I was sitting there with Ummu Al أ ا فنFadle sharpening arrows delighted with the news that had come, up came Aboo Lahab أث تdragging his feet in ill temper and sat down at the end of the tent with his back to mine. As he was sitting there people said: Here is Aboo Sufyaan ben Al Haareth ben Abdu Al Muttaleb اث عف ١ ب ث ا ذبسس ث ػجذ ا ط ت\\ just arrived. Aboo أث تLahab said: Come here, for you have news. So he came and sat with him while the people stood round, and he asked his nephew for the news, he said: As soon as we met the party we turned our backs and they were killing and capturing us just as they pleased; and by هللاAllaah I don t blame the people for that. We met men in white on piebald horses between heaven and earth, and by هللاAllaah they speared nothing and none could withstand them. So I lifted the rope of the tent and said: Those were the angels. Aboo أث تLahab struck me violently in the face. I leapt at him, but he knocked me down and knelt on me beating me again and again, for I was a weak man. Ummu Al Fadle\ أ ا فن went and got one of the supporting pillars of the tent and split his head with a blow which left a nasty wound, saying: You think you can despise him now that his master is away. He got up and turned tail humiliated. He only lived for another week, for God smote him with.اث اعذبق Ishaq\ pustules, from which he died. End of quotation of ibnu لش ٠ ؼ Quraysh\ His two sons left him unburied for two or three nights so that the house stank (for dreaded pustules and the like as men dread plague) until finally a man said to them: It is disgraceful! Are you not ashamed that your father should stink in his house while you do not cover him from the sight of men? They replied that they were afraid of those ulcers. He offered to go with them. They did not wash the body but threw water over it from a distance without touching it. Then they took it up and buried it on the high ground above Makkah\ ىخ by a wall and threw stones over it until it was covered. The Battle of Badr\ غض ح ثذس took place on Friday the 17 th of Ramadaan\ س نب in the second year. جش ٠ خ Hejrah\ of ا ؼجبط Abbaas\ The dream of Al Al Qastalaanee\ ا مغطال and Al ا ضسلبZarqaanee report in their Al Mawaahebu Al ا ؼجبط Abbaas\ and others as well that Al ا غ ١ Suhaylee\ and Al ا ا ت ا ذ ١ خ Laduneyyah\ saw his brother Aboo Lahab\ أث ت in a dream one year after his death, and asked him: Tell me about your situation!?

19 Aboo أث تLahab replied: I am inside the Hell Fire, but every Monday night water is made to spring out between my thumb and the index finger and I suck this water and get some relief from the torture. I am given this water for having freed my slave woman Thuwaybah\ ص ٠ جخ when she gave me the glad tiding that a boy, Muhammad\, ذ ذ was born to my late brother and I was happy about his birth. Thuwaybah \ ص ٠ جخ also breast feed him as well. When he was telling her that she is a free woman he pointed these two fingers to her direction. Aamenah\ آ خ ػ ١ ب ا غال the mother of the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe أث تLahab to inform Aboo ص ٠ جخ \ Thuwaybah Wa Sallam after giving birth sent this woman about it. She knocked at his door and he opened it. She said to him: Tonight a son was born to your brother so handsome like the moon that there is not anyone like. ىخ Makkah\ him in He was very happy that his late brother had a descendent and pointing these two fingers at her said to her: You are free. Al Bukhaaree\ ا جخبس reported this Hadeeth or part of it in other words than these. It was also reported from Abdu Al Rrezaaq\ ػجذ ا شصاق and Al Esmaa eelee\ اسإع بػ ١ and Al Sayuutee others. and ا ج ١ م Bayhaqee\ Al,اث ا ج ص Jawzeyye\ and Ibnu Al ا غ ١ ه \ غض ح أدذ Uhud\ and the Battle of ا ؼجبطAbbaasu Al Al Zarqaanee\ ا ضسلب said: When the pagans of Quraysh\ لش ٠ ؼ in Makkah\ ىخ decided to move towards Al Madeenah Al Munawwarah \ ا ذ ٠ خ ا سح to attack the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam, Al Abbaasu ben Abdu Al Muttaleb \ ا ؼجبط ث ػجذ ا ط ت wrote a letter to the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam to inform him about the imminent plan to attack him, and handed it to a man of Banee Ghefaar \ ث غفبس to deliver it to Al ا ذ ٠ خMadeenah within three days and its three nights. End quote Al Zarqaanee.ا ضسلب \ أث هب تTaaleb The Quraan that came down concerning those who came to Aboo هللاAllaah revealed concerning the people who came to Aboo أث هب تTaaleb with their proposal :ع سح ؿ Saad\ Sooratu {بسم اهلل الرحمن الرحيم. ص و ال ق ر آ ن ذ ي الذ ك ر )2( ب ل ال ذ ين ك ف ر وا ف ي ع ز ة و ش ق اق )8( ك م أ ه م ك ن ا م ن ا و ل ت ح ين م ن اص )3( و ع ج ب وا أ ن ج اء ه م م ن ذ ر م ن ه م و ق ال ال ك اف ر ون ه ذ ا س اح ر ك ذ اب ق ب م ه م م ن ق ر ن ف ن اد و )4( أ ج ع ل ا ل ل ه ة إ ل ه ا و اح د ا إ ن ه ذ ا ل ش ي ء ع ج اب )5( و ان ط م ق ال م ل م ن ه م أ ن ام ش وا و اص ب ر وا ع م ى آ ل ه ت ك م إ ن ه ذ ا ل ش ي ء ي ر اد )6( م ا س م ع ن ا ب ه ذ ا ف ي ال م م ة ا ل خ ر ة إ ن ه ذ ا إ ل اخ ت ل ق )7(}

20 These Aayah mean: In the Name of هللاAllaah Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Saad: By the Quraan, full of Admonition (This is the Truth)(1)But the Unbelievers (Are steeped) in self-glory and separatism(2)how many generations before them did We destroy? In the end they cried (For mercy)-when there was no longer time for being saved(3)so they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! And the Unbelievers say: This is a sorcerer telling lies(4) Has he made the gods (All) into one?هللاallaah Truly this is a wonderful thing! (5)And the leaders among them go away (impatiently), (saying): Walk you away, and remain constant to your gods! For thi is truly a thing designed (against you!) (They mean the embracing of Islaam by Umar ben Al Khattaab ػ ش ث ا خطبة may Allaah\ هللا be pleased with him and the increased number of the Muslems in Makkah\ ىخ and within the other Arab tribes) (6) We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days(they mean the Christians who worship the Trinity, and not one single god) : this is nothing but a made-up tale!(7). (Quraan 38:1-7). The Will of Aboo أث هب تTaaleb to Quraysh ف ١ خ أث هب ت مش ٠ ؼ \ Al Suhaylee\ ا غ ١ said: "Heshaam (ebnu Muhammad) ben Al Saa'ib Al Kalbeyye\ )اث ذ ذ( ث ا غبئت ا ى ج, ؾب or his father said: When death came near to Aboo هب تTaaleb,أث the chiefs of لش ٠ ؼQuraysh gathered around him, and he gave them his will: " ٠ ب ؼؾش لش ٠ ؼ أ ز فف ح هللا خ م ل ت ا ؼشة ف ١ ى ا غ ١ ذ ا طبع ف ١ ى ا مذ ا ؾجبع ا اعغ ا جبع اػ ا أ ى رزشو ا ؼشة ف ا آصش ق ١ جب اال أدشصر ال ؽشفب اال أدسوز ف ى ثز ه ػ ا بط ا فن ١ خ ث ا ١ ى ا ع ١ خ ا بط ى دشة ػ دشثى أ ت ا أ ف ١ ى ثزؼظ ١ ز ا ج زخ ٠ ؼ ا ىؼجخ فب ف ١ ب شمبح سة ل ا ب ؼبػ صجبرب هؤح ف ا أسدب ى فب ف ف خ ا شد غؤح أ : فغذخ ف األج ص ٠ بدح ف ا ؼذد ارشو ا ا جغ ا ؼم ق فف ١ ب ىذ ا مش لج ى أج ١ ج ا ا ذاػ أػط ا ا غبئ فب ف ١ ب ؽشف ا ذ ١ بح ا بد ػ ١ ى ثقذق ا ذذ ٠ ش أداء األ ب خ فب ف ١ ب ذجخ ف ا خبؿ ىش خ ف ا ؼب ا أ ف ١ ى ث ذ ذ خ ١ شا فب األ ١ ف لش ٠ ؼ ا قذ ٠ ك ف ا ؼشة ا جب غ ى ب أ ف ١ زى ث لذ جبء ب ثؤ ش لج ا ج ب ا ىش ا غب خبفخ ا ؾ آ أ ٠ هللا وؤ أ ظش ا فؼب ١ ه ا ؼشة أ األهشاف ا غزنؼف ١ ا بط لذ أجبث ا دػ ر فذل ا و ز ػظ ا أ ش فخبك ث غ شاد ا د فقبسد سإعبء لش ٠ ؼ ف بد ٠ ذ ب أر بثب د س ب خشاثب مؼفبإ ب أسثبثب ارا أػظ ػ ١ أد ج ا ١ أثؼذ أدظب ػ ذ لذ ذنز ا ؼشة داد ب أففذ فئاد ب أػطز ل ١ بد ب ٠ ب ؼؾش لش ٠ ؼ و ا الح ذضث د بح هللا ال ٠ غ ه أدذ عج ١ اال سؽذ ال ٠ ؤخز أدذ ث ذ ٠ اال عؼذ وب فغ ذح ألج رؤخ ١ ش ىففذ ػ ا ضائض ذفؼذ ػ ا ذ ا." ص ه. The Hadeeth means: O men of!لش ٠ ؼQuraysh You are the one chosen by Allaah هللا \ from among his creation, and the heart of the Arabs. Among yourselves were men who were leaders who enjoyed the loyalty of

21 all; among you were also the brave in the war, who stepped forward to combat; among you were also those who were generouse and used to give. You left nothing for the rest of the Arabs, and you collected all noble acts that grant superiority, and you have achieved all leadership and honor. Those qualities make you superior to the rest of the people and you are the way for them if they want to achieve these same qualities. All people are your followers, and they gathered to fight you, and I recommend you to honor this House (The Ka bah\ (ا ىؼجخ because that is the way the Pleasure of the Rabbe\ Lord /ا شة can be achieved, and it leads also to good life and stability. Nurture relation with your kin folk and do not cut these relations, because doing so you will have a longer lifespan. Doings so, postpones the time of the death, and you also multiply and become numerouse. Stay away from transgressings and disobeying Allaah \ هللا, because by these two elements generations before you have been destroyed. Accept the invitation of those who invite you and go to him, give to those who beg you, because in these two is the honor of life and of death. When you speak tell the truth; return the items entrusted to you to their owner, because in this is special love and honor. I recommend to you Muhammad\ ذ ذ Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam -: األ ١ do good to him, because he is Al Ameenu fee Qurayshen/The Trusted one within Quraysh He is the most truthful man among the Arabs. He also shares with you all the good.ف لش ٠ ؼ qualities that I have recommended to you. He came to us with something that the heart accepted, and the tongue did not for fear of your insults for those who follow him. I swear by هللاAllaah, it is as if I am seeing that the Arabs who are poor, and the beduins and those living around Makkah\, ىخ and the oppressed accepting what he is calling them to, and believe in his words and honored his religion. Then he leads them (in Wars) to death (As it happened in Badr\ غض ح ثذس and other battles). When this happened, the leaders and the brave men of Quraysh\,لش ٠ ؼ and their chiefs became the tail and the lowest of the followers; their homes became ruins (As it happened after the Battle of Badr \ غض ح ثذس, where seventy of the leaders of لش ٠ ؼQuraysh were killed, seventy other taken as prisoners of war); their lowest in rank became chiefs and kings; their leaders and chiefs became those who needed the Messenger of Allaah Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam most (As happened on the Day of Victory over Makkah\ فزخ ىخ ٠); those who were furthest from him Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam became those gained most by being at his side.

22 The Arabs loved him Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam by their heart in a sincere and pure manner, and removed from their hearts all bad beliefs and emotions such as فزخ hatred, envy, and put their lives into his hands (such as the Day of the Victory over Makkah where they all came under his rule and he gave them back, اصHawaazen and the Battle of, ىخ their wives and children). And you لش ٠ ؼQuraysh rejected him, and he is the son of your father.(لش ٠ ؼQuraysh (They all are the descendants of the man called O men of!لش ٠ ؼQuraysh Surrender yourselves to him, support him and defend him from his enemies. I swear by هللاAllaah that none would follow his way, but he will be rightly guided, and if he follows his guidance he will be successful (Here and in the Hereafter). If time was added to my lifespan and my death could be postponed, I would defend from him the trials and the wars, and I would defend him from annoyance and calamities. End quote. Then Aboo أث هب تTaaleb died. P rophet Muhammad Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam prayed for أث هب تTaaleb Aboo Al Emaam Al Bayhaqee \ ا ج ١ م reported that ػAlee Alayhessalaamu said: When I informed the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa ALaa Aalehe Wa Sallam that Aboo أث هب تTaaleb had died, he weeped and then said: "ار ت الغغ وف اس غفش هللا سد." The Hadeeth means: Go and wash him, then shroud him and bury him. May هللاAllaah forgive him and have mercy on him. The book Taareekhu Al Khameese\ ا خ ١ ظ ربس ٠ خ said: The book Ketaabu Al Hayawaane \ وزبة ا ذ ١ ا said that Aboo أث هب تTaaleb died when the Prophet Sallaa Allaahu Alayhe Wa Alaa Aalehe Wa Sallam was fourty nine years, eight months and eleven days old, and Aboo Taaleb أث هب ت was eight some years old. The book Al Mawaahebu Al Laduneyyah\ ا ذ ١ خ ا ا ت reported that Aboo أث هب تTaaleb died when he was eighty seven years old, during tha last part of the month of Shawwaal\ ؽ اي of the tenth month of the Prophethood.
